Julie’s Senior Pictures

July 7, 2010

Well, I’m a goof. I admit it. In the hustle and bustle of end-of-school-year activities, weddings, other work and life in general I neglected to post our good friend Julie’s senior photographs.

We actually took these photos a few months back at Heritage Park in Puyallup, WA and in our studio. We had such a great time with Julie over those two sessions. She is such a spark of life and we are happy to know her.

So, without much more adieu, we give you a video of Julie’s Senior Pictures.

Way to go, Julie. Congrats on making it through and best wishes for much success in life.

Blessings,

Chris.

Thank You for the Thank You

May 22, 2010

One of the greatest rewards in my life are the “thank you”‘s I get from my customers. And I don’t mean the “thank you for transferring my video tape to DVD”-type of thank you. I mean the “my photographs are so awesome” sort of thank you.

Consider the following we have received:

“I would highly recommend Chris McKenna (and MVS) for anyone who wants to work with a photographer and videographer who is honest and works very hard to accomodate their clients. They have done the photography and videography of my son’s wedding (April, 2009) which also included his engagement pictures on the waterfront in Tacoma and a movie to be played at the wedding of the bride and good and family members. They also helped us put together the most beautiful wedding album I’ve ever seen (and I’m in the wedding business as a florist and see many albums, pictures, etc.).

They also did an on location session of my grandson’s first pictures. They came to the home so the baby could be in his own basinet and surrounded by his own blankets, toys, etc. I thought this was very caring and the pictures are just beautiful. This company is A#1 and I will only use and recommend them to anyone who needs a first class photographer and videographer.”

“You are a fantastic photographer, Chris! The pictures turned out incredible and you guys did a beautiful job of capturing the day! Thank you both for your photographic genius, your support and your friendship!”

~ Jodi & Alden

“I want you two to know how much we love the video you made for us. You also did a fantastic job on our pictures. You’re the best–thanks so much.”

~ Kim & Reese

“Chris and Lynette were great. They are easy to work with and our pictures are more beautiful than I ever could have imagined. They helped us out a lot of our actual wedding day and were respectful of our requests. I would highly recommend Chris McKenna (MVS)”

“Chris is a very professional photographer who was very easy to work with. He was on time for all meetings and was very organized on the day of our wedding. I would recommend him to everyone I know. He has a great customer service attitude and his number one concern is his client’s satisfaction and happiness with his work. We were very pleased with the quality of his work and the time he spent to get the right shots on our big day. We were so glad we decided to go with Chris McKenna (MVS) for our special day. No regrets, only total satisfaction.”

~ Kristine & Andrew (excerpt taken from Pictage)

“We hope you know how much we appreciate all the hard work and dedication you put into our wedding-you worked so hard and genuinely cared about capturing the whole day!

We feel that thank you is not enough. The pictures are gorgeous and the video you did for us makes me cry every time. People at work are always commenting on how good it was (and how many people it brought tears to).

So thank you for adding that special touch!!!”

~ Sinead & Kevin

Do I need to say any more?

Stacy and Shawn: A Love to Live For

August 7, 2009

Its been a few weeks since I posted, but that doesn’t mean that we haven’t been busy. 🙂

Today, I am posting a video of some of the engagement photographs that I took Stacy and Shawn, who will be married later this month (I am really looking forward to photographing their wedding). These photographs were taken at Tumwater Falls, in Tumwater, WA in the early to mid-morning. It was a spectacular day and we captured some awesome photos. The last couple of photographs in this montage were shot down on the waterfront in Olympia, WA. next to the statue of the Kissing Couple (it is very popular to replicate the statue pose and have your photo taken next to it).

Congratulations, Stacy and Shawn, on your engagement and we’ll see you at the church later this month.

Blessings,

Chris

Another website up and going http://www.chrismckennaphoto.com

June 28, 2009

Well, I hate to say it, but I have yet another photo website up and going. You can find it at:

www.chrismckennaphoto.com

Right now, it is almost a mirror image to www.chrismckennaphotography.com. The goal with this site it to continue with my efforts to manage a website that google can actually find (I’m having all sorts of problems with the flash-driven, third-party site I currently use), to use as a proofing site for my clients, but eventually to serve as the site in which I can sell some of my work online.

Enjoy the slideshows and new site.

Blessings,

Chris

Engagement Session of Dee & Zac

April 28, 2009

Dee and Zac are one really cool couple. We had the opportunity to photograph them this last week while they were in town (I think that I have now set a record for getting previews online). We had a great time getting to know them while shooting their pictures around the Museum of Glass in Tacoma, WA. The weather was awesome-we didn’t have to dodge rain showers and bird poo (my friend Michele had some experiences with this one) but we did have one unfortunate accident with doggy doo (please, please, please clean up after your pets!).  Gross but no serious harm done.

Dee and Zac will be getting married on September 5 and we are honored to be their photographers. Thanks for a great time time, guys, and enjoy the preview!

Baby Sophie

April 24, 2009

We are so excited to share these photos with you. This is Baby Sophie. She is such a sweet little girl. So quiet, so mellow. But she was not feeling too good (just getting over the flu) when we photographed her a few weeks back. But she was such a good sport for only being 5 months old while and really not feeling too well.

We look forward to watching you grow up, Sophie!

Enjoy your photographs.

Sinead says “I do” to Kevin

April 21, 2009

Sinead and Kevin were married at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church on October 18, 2008. This was my first “desination wedding” and I was very happy to take a part in documenting their day. Kevin and Sinead are a great couple and I know that they will be very happy together.

I wish them all my best for many happy years together.

God’s riches and blessings,

Chris.

Whitney – A Professional Model Photography Session

April 16, 2009

I had the priveledge of photographing Whitney, a professional model. She needed some simple shot for a portfolio that she was putting together and I was happy to help. Below are a couple of the photographs that I took of her.

It was an absolute pleasure to work with her and I look forward to doing so again.
